What we collect

We collect only what's necessary to run AudioFlix:

• Your email address (used for login and password reset)
• A bcrypt-hashed password (we never store your plaintext password)
• Download logs — which audiobooks you've accessed and when, used to enforce plan limits
• Standard access logs retained for 90 days

What we don't collect

• No third-party analytics or tracking pixels
• No advertising identifiers
• No payment data — payments are handled externally when billing is enabled

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the AudioFlix service:

• Authenticating your account
• Enforcing your monthly download quota
• Sending password reset emails (only when you request one)
• Crediting referral bonuses

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymised download aggregate data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Data is stored in a SQLite database on infrastructure we control. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but no system is 100% secure.
